Client Portfolio

Our client is a top distributor and online seller of premium baby products, valued by families and retailers internationally. The business supplies essential goods designed with safety and quality in mind. As they expanded across digital and physical channels, the need for a robust warehouse management system became clear, one that could handle their variety of products, traceability requirements, and commitment to fast, accurate deliveries.

Problem Statement

Our client had a requirement to implement WMS (Warehouse Management System) with additional features in it. wished to be able to know bin location within the warehouse, automation of item receipt (IR) and item fulfilment (IF), manage inventory counting and the ability to view images during object picking, and entering Lot numbers.

They also required us to add the option for printing the item label and pallet label, as the repetitive manual work to print item and pallet labels were slowing down fulfillment.

The operational inefficiencies they faced led to delays during busy periods. Inconsistent item storage led to difficulty in quickly locating products. Their time wasted on manual inventory counts and with the limited visibility into real-time stock levels. There was also high risk of errors during picking, especially with visually similar SKUs.

The warehouse management system covers the entire warehouse activities from receiving and storing items to picking and shipping them.

What We Suggested

Our experts analyzed the requirements and implemented NetSuite WMS. They installed a bundle of Suite Apps and examined the system regulations and configurations.

Further, they set some rules according to the flow of the business and the warehouse structure with which the employees can work and follow for more effortless operations. Every product was mapped to a specific bin location for easy tracking and rapid retrieval.

Streamlined the cycle count process, ensuring stock accuracy remains high without halting warehouse operations. Made the item images visible at picking stations, reducing the chance of errors and boosting pick speed.

With the instructions and functionalities available in the Suite App, the processes are automated and other requirements including automatic creation of item receipt and item fulfilment and search inventory were met. We set the configurations to add the print option for item label and print label.

Customer Success

The requirements of the client were met successfully. The implementation helps them to control their operations efficiently. It also aids them in saving time searching for and handling items in the warehouse. Item receipts and order fulfillments now happen automatically upon transaction, removing manual bottlenecks.

As the items are processed in the warehouse, for every transaction that is completed, it gets updated in the NetSuite inventory data in real-time. It enhances inventory accuracy and minimizes search time and handling items in the warehouse.

Employees can simply enter and monitor lot numbers, facilitating compliance and efficient recall when necessary. Item and pallet labels may be printed on-demand, integrated into the workflow of every transaction.

Automation now forms the backbone of their warehouse, supporting growth and delivering competitive service excellence every day.
