Email Templates from SCA Webstore

One of our clients, a leading manufacturer of packaging and containers from New Zealand, had a requirement to implement Email templates from the SCA webstore. 

SuiteCommerce Advanced (SCA) offers businesses quick and engaging web stores that provide positive customer experiences optimized for any device. It provides flexibility, complete server-side scripting, and a strong search engine.  

Requirement

Our client required us to implement email templates from the SCA webstore for order confirmation emails, customer registration from the webstore, and order approval. There are three domains in the single website record. The client wishes to display different content in each of the three domains’ email templates. 

Solution

Our experts analyzed the requirements and put forward solutions for each, 

1. Order confirmation email 

In the case of order confirmation emails, our experts set up a workflow in NetSuite that will be triggered when a user submits an order from the webstore. From this, the domain or the subsidiary of the customer is identified.

SuiteCommerce offers in built email templates, since our client required us to customize the email template, our developers created a custom email template for the order confirmation mail and this custom email is sent to the customer along with the order details as an attachment in the email. The attachment will be the same document available from NetSuite.   

2. Customer Registration 

Our client required us to send a custom email when a user registers in their webstore. Our developers updated the subsidiary field in the lead record based on the domain from which the user registers which they achieved through an extension. Further, they set up a workflow in NetSuite that is triggered when a lead record is created in the webstore. Thus, our developers were able to check the subsidiary from which the order is placed and were able to set up a custom email template through which an automated mail is sent.  

3. Order Approval

Similar to customer registration, our developers set up a workflow in NetSuite. This will be triggered when an order from the customer is approved. From this workflow, developers check the domain from which the order is placed based on the subsidiary of the customer and send an automated mail in the customized email template. 

Result

The requirements of the client were met successfully. This helps the client to display different content in each of the three domains’ email templates.
